Dawn Wohling

Hello!  My name is Dawn Wohling and I am the Vocal and General Music Teacher here in the Hustisford School District. I earned my Bachelor of Music Education at U.W. Oshkosh and my Elementary Teaching Certification at U.W. Madison. I attend many conferences and classes dealing with character building, technology in music, up to date practices in music.  I teach 4K-3rd grade General Music and 5K-5 Elementary School Choir at John Hustis Elementary.  I teach Jr. High Choir, as well as, Sr. High Choir at the Hustisford Jr./Sr. High School.

My philosophy as a music educator is that I believe it is my job to increase your child’s love of music. I feel it is important that they are able to use their talents and gifts in order to become the amazing students that they are meant to be. I think it is also my duty to help my students develop good character and become good citizens. As Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote, “Intelligence plus character- that is the true goal of education.” In addition to upholding high academic standards, I do all I can to help my students develop good attitudes, be respectful, work hard and be honest. In my opinion these are the four main ingredients of good character. I enjoy my teaching very much and each year seems to only get better and better!
