11th Grade Class Adviser
I have been teaching in the Hustisford School District since January 2012. I have taught a wide variety of English classes during my career here. My husband and I have three boys who keep us pretty busy. My oldest is currently in college! I am excited to be teaching a variety of students each day.
English classes follow the Wisconsin English Standards. This curriculum provides a guideline for where students should be at by the end of the school year.
Within the different English classes, students work towards mastery of the four learning strands:
- Reading Literature and Informational Texts
- Writing
- Language
- Speaking and Listening
The students will also work on:
- critical thinking skills
- problem solving
- empathy
- cultural awareness
This year, I have the privilege of teaching English 9, Honors English 9, English 10, Honors English 10, English 11, Honors English 11, and Advanced Composition.
