Hello and welcome!
I'm Erin Hensler. This is my 19th year teaching and 11th year at John Hustis Elementary. I am so excited to work with you all this year! There are many unique and special aspects of being in our class. One of the fun things we do is learn about our government and host a school-wide election. Another important part of first grade is our morning meeting, which is a great way to build our classroom community, get to know one another, and address problems that may arise throughout the year. We will also do STEM activities each week to go along with things we are learning about or themed seasonally. Our class is all about pushing ourselves. We will try new things and make mistakes, and then try them again. I look forward to a fun and educational year of growing with your child!
